You register and configure the Edge Gateway in Installation & Maintenance (I&M).

If you have a local Internet network without DHCP, you will need to configure the gateway via the local configurator (via service port LAN 3).

There are more differences in what can be configured in the local configurator and what can be configured in I&M. The differences are listed below:

Action

Local configurator (via LAN 3)

I&M

Register the gateway

X

Configure LAN 1 (Internet port)

DHCP on/off toggle

X

DHCP always on

Configure LAN 2 (Priva network port)

DHCP on/off toggle

Partly*:

DHCP is always off (unless enabled via Local configurator). Not yet possible to turn on/off DHCP.
Possible to set fixed IP settings.

* In a future release, it will be possible to turn on/off DHCP in I&M

Configure the time zone

X

Add project

(only for Building Automation)

X

Update the gateway

X

Partly:

just from the last 3 days

Reset to factory settings

X
