Keeping your Edge Gateway up to date ensures your installation runs reliably and benefits from the latest improvements. You can choose to update modules manually or automate the installation process to fit your operation.

How to access update settings

  1. Open Installation & Maintenance.

  2. Navigate to the Settings tab.

  3. In the Update Rollout section, you’ll find a drop‑down menu on the right.

Important: If All Sites is selected, no settings will appear. Select a specific site first to view and adjust update options.

Choose your update frequency

Use the drop-down menu in the Update Rollout section to select how soon you want updates to be installed automatically or to become available for manual installation:

  • No delay

  • 14 days after release

  • 31 days after release

These options give you flexibility — whether you prefer to stay as up-to-date as possible or want to add some buffer time before updates reach your systems.

Enable automatic updates

To turn on automatic updating:

  1. Slide the Automatic updates toggle to the right.

  2. Once enabled, you can choose the time of day when updates should be installed.

This allows updates to happen at moments that fit your workflow, reducing disruption.

Default and Recommended Settings

Default Settings

By default, Edge Gateway software modules do not update automatically. Updates are available for manual installation 14 days after their release. This gives you control over when changes are applied.

Recommended Settings

For optimal performance, we recommend that customers enable:

✓ Automatic updates without delay

Enabling automatic updates ensures that systems remain secure and stable, and benefit from improvements as soon as they are released, all without adding an administrative burden.
