To commission equipment with a RS485 (Modbus) Smart Bridge (i.e. a weatherstation), one of the steps is to update the software of the RS485 (Modbus) Smart Bridge. Due to a known dependency between the platform version and the RS485 software version, I&M checks all the CPCs within the network to ensure the right version can be installed on the Smart Bridge.

First, make sure that there is at least one CPC connected to the Priva Network.

If there are multiple CPCs, make sure they are all using the same platform version. The platform version can be checked by opening the CPC page.

If the platform version is not shown, then there is most likely an issue with the DDS communication protocol being used. Reboot the Gateway and wait for the Gateway to be fully operational again, which can take up to 15 minutes. Check the CPC page(s) again to make sure the platform version is shown, after which it should be possible to update the RS485 (Modbus) Smart Bridge (if the above also still applies).
